Massage Therapy
Massage therapy offers far more than relaxation—it’s a powerful, natural way to support your overall health and wellbeing. Through targeted techniques that release tension, improve circulation, and restore mobility, massage therapy can ease chronic pain, reduce stress, enhance flexibility, and promote faster recovery. Whether you’re seeking relief from everyday strain or support for a specific condition, therapeutic massage helps your body function at its best, encouraging balance, comfort, and long-term wellness.

Weight Loss
Weight Management
What is Weight Management?
Weight management is an evolving part of medicine. We are learning that obesity is a chronic disease like many others. The struggle with weight is mostly mediated by genetics, is centered in the brain, has strong ties to the environment, and is progressive. There are many pieces to this puzzle, but we all know: It is difficult to lose weight. Those who live with the disease are often victims of weight bias and stigma. Lack of success is NOT due to character flaws, lack of willpower, or the “wrong” weight loss plan. Obesity is a real medical condition.
As healthcare providers, we care about weight, as being of an unhealthy weight raises the risk of developing as many as 236 medical conditions, many of which will negatively impact quality of life.
Specifically, for our practice, we know that an unhealthy weight may be the root cause of musculoskeletal problems.
Losing just 5-10 percent of body weight, will improve overall risk profiles. Research shows that losing more than 10% will likely improve joint pain and arthritic conditions significantly.
No matter what your personal “Why” is to lose weight, we offer to partner with you to look for an approach to achieve and maintain a healthier weight. We know that the plan that works to achieve your goals is the one that you can stick with in the long term.
There are four pillars that form the foundation of weight management that we address:
- Nutrition
- Physical activity
- Behavior
- Medication management – Typically if a focus on the other 3 has not yielded results within a reasonable timeframe or in the past.
We are uniquely positioned in the greater Topeka area to directly collaborate within our four walls with our Physical Therapists as well as our certified Strength Training Specialist.
We utilize community resources if other help is thought to be needed.
We take a comprehensive medical, family, social, and weight history, and obtain crucial labs to learn whether there are coexisting conditions that require consideration. We actively listen to your concerns and together create a plan that is attainable and sustainable over time. We will move at your pace. During regular follow up visits, we will reassess the plan and make changes as needed.
Please check with us whether we accept your insurance. Please check with your insurance whether they cover weight management services. We will also offer private pay options for your consideration.
